the North Allegheny Orchestra website!
There are over 1,200 students playing a string instrument in the North Allegheny School District. We have nine string specialists that service the students in grades 3-12. There are 7 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, an intermediate school and a senior high school.

There are over 1,200 students playing a string instrument in the North Allegheny School District. We have nine string specialists that service the students in grades 3-12. There are 7 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, an intermediate school and a senior high school.
The string program starts in 3rd grade and continues through 12th grade. The students in the elementary meet twice a week; once for a small group lesson and once for a rehearsal in a large ensemble. Middle school students meets as a class every other day and the high school ensembles meet every day.
