North Allegheny High School Orchestra and the Golden Strolling Strings |
||
Cellofourte is coming to NASH on October 29! The North Allegheny High School Orchestra is made up of students in grades 9-12 with experience on violin, viola, cello, and string bass. These students meet during the school day and perform several concerts throughout the year. Additionally, all of the orchestra students participate in and perform with the Golden Strolling Strings, now in its 21st year of existence. They play all styles of music including classical, folk, popular, seasonal, and dance music. The orchestra also travels and performs on a trip every year and has performed all over the country. During the 2008-2009 school year, they will travel to Washington, D.C. and Virginia Beach for a “Music in the Parks" adjudication and clinic. Performing so frequently throughout the community and many representing the school district in Pittsburgh youth orchestras and PMEA honors festivals, the orchestra students are a talented group dedicated to the success of their program. |
